Anju Acharya
Anju is inspired by the effects of environmental metamorphosis and mutation on flora & fauna. Motifs from nature are central to her practice. Her work unveils the invisible chain that connects every element.
Her works also explore the world of exiled humanity & the pangs of birth. Rooted in the changing equations of nature, she unleashes a sensuous play between the self and the alter ego. Oscillating between the primordial and the contemporary. The interplay of illusion and reality reflects a mutating world, echoing the despair of a degrading environment; feminine in their form. Anju Acharya (born in 1992) completed her Master in Fine Arts (Printmaking), 2017 from S.N School - (first rank with Gold Medal), University of Hyderabad, India. Her works have been part of several shows in India such as - Gallery OED, Kochi, India, 2018; "Leaving a Trance" - Beyond Malabar Gallery, Fort Kochi, Kerala, 2017; "December" - MNF Foundation, Edappally, Kerala, 2017; "Emerging palettes" - Shrishti Art Gallery, Hyderabad, 2017; "VISIONS | Prosperity" - Mattanchery, 2017; Tag foundation - Mumbai, 2016; "Invisible storm" - Lalit Kala Akademi, Delhi, 2015.
